Opioids & Controlled Substances: The Opioid Crisis & The Veterinarian: What Do Veterinarians Need to Know?

This course will cover an introduction to the opioid crisis and how it applies to the veterinary professional. The DEA and its relation to controlled substances and the Code of Federal Regulations, specifically Title 21, will also be discussed. The practitioner will be updated on the responsibilities of a controlled substance registrant, gain tips for inventory security and management, and learn the requirements for reporting prescriptions and dispensing controlled substances.
